Days of severe weather are likely from Texas to the mid-Atlantic as thunderstorms begin to run over the same areas repeatedly. Tornadoes, large hail and damaging winds are all concerns in addition to flooding rainfall.

There were more than 100 reports of severe weather from Oklahoma into Pennsylvania as of Wednesday as severe weather tore across parts of the Midwest and South, tearing buildings apart and ripping down trees and powerlines.

Ingredients are in place for a potent severe weather outbreak in the Ohio and Mississippi valleys. Several strong (EF2+) and long-track tornadoes are possible late Wednesday into overnight from northern Louisiana to Indiana and western Ohio, including the cities of Shreveport, Little Rock, Louisville, Memphis, Indianapolis, and Cincinnati. This outbreak is being driven by a slow-moving system that will linger as it tracks eastward. Stay alert and have a plan in place.
