Weather Underground Forecast for Saturday, November 07, 2009.
Expect wet weather over most of Europe on Saturday as multiple weather systems affect the continent. A low pressure system will continue tracking eastward through southern Europe and the Mediterranean. This system will create a front extending northeastward and will strengthen as moist flow from the Mediterranean Sea feds warm and moist air into the system. Multiple showers and thunderstorms will move over Italy, Greece, and Serbia and extend up the front into Slovenia, Poland, Belarus, and will move into western Russia by evening. Light and scattered showers from this system are expected to extend into Romania and the Ukraine. Drier conditions are anticipated for the western and central Mediterranean, thus, Rome and Barcelona will see mostly sunny skies with highs near 60(F)/ 16(C). Moscow will not yet see precipitation, but will remain cloudy with highs in the upper 30s(F)/ 3s(C). A small ridge of high pressure will immediately follow this system as another strong low pressure system moves in from the British Isles.
The system will continue spinning over the North Atlantic and will create another cold front that will track through the European Mainland. Expect rainy weather again in Paris and London with highs in the lower 50s(F)/ lower teens(C). Oslo and Stockholm will see overcast skies throughout the day as highs remain in the 40s(F)/ 5s(C).
